Overview

The mission and guiding principle of the World Development Foundation is to enable a platform upon which ethical public-private partnerships reside. WDF supports the full realization of the Sustainable Development Goals with a focus on vital issues such as ending poverty, gender equality and education for all.

WDF is a U.S.- based, 501c3 not-for-profit organization with Special Consultative Status with the U.N. Department of Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in association with The U.N. Department of Global Communications (DGC).

It brings together and supports governments, the United Nations, civil society, academic communities, corporations, and private investors throughout the world that work toward global sustainable development – with respect for and in hopes of achieving the SDGs.

WDF supports educational opportunities, such as conferences, workshops, and other regional gatherings that enable all stakeholders to discuss, learn more about, and offer opinions on the ways to best promote the success of the SDGs in all corners of work, play, growth and opportunities for advancement worldwide.
