A Globalization Dialogue Promotes Sustainable Tourism as a Roadmap to National Pride, Economic Development, and World Peace.

Travel and Tourism: wonderfully relaxing, splendidly entertaining, and a great escape from the work-a-day world. Yet travel is also a key to national and global development and the success of the Sustainable Development Goals. Written behind the words in several key SDGs, sustainable tourism builds local pride, increases good paying, long term jobs, and reinvests in the community when development is led by local managers, working with international investors. For an example: Ecotourism is eventually at the heart of many sustainable goals; it greens our planet, humanizes our cities, and promotes intercultural dialogue. From a larger, happier workforce to a healthier planet, sustainable ecotourism holds many benefits for virtually every country on the planet.

The purpose of this conference, led by the Permanent Missions of Suriname and Guyana to the United Nations along with presentation involvement from the World Development Foundation will demonstrate ways in which eco- and cultural-tourism, for examples, promote worthwhile, sustainable development – through the global cooperation that is necessary for planet-beneficial tourism products to thrive. More broadly, this type of global development echoes to the very heart of the UNs 2030 Challenge.
